You have found your business or yourself in our directory and do not want to be listed? You can object here (Art. 21 GDPR). For listings from public sources you do not have to give a reason. The objection is free of charge.
Who can object
- owners of the business,
- people who represent the business or act on its behalf,
- people who are named in a listing.
If the listing is already managed through an account, you can also delete or edit it there. If only one detail is wrong, a correction via Report content is often enough.
How it works
- You fill in the form. The quickest way is with the link to the listing.
- We send you a confirmation link by email. This way we make sure the request comes from you.
- If your authorisation is clearly established, we remove the listing immediately after confirmation. This is the case if you object on behalf of the business, your email address belongs to the domain of its website or appears in the listing and we checked the website or the address in the last 30 days, and if nobody manages the listing through an account and there are no reviews of it.
- Otherwise we briefly check whether you are authorised, for example with a call to the business’s public phone number. This usually takes no more than 72 hours and, by law, one month at most.
- We inform you of the outcome by email. If we refuse, we give reasons.
This check protects businesses from having their listings removed by unauthorised people.
What happens next
The listing is no longer publicly visible and no longer appears in our search. Search engines usually pick up the change within a few days. If the listing came from a public source, we delete its data. We only keep a record with the identifier from the source and a blocklist with checksums of individual characteristics, created with a secret key. This way the listing does not return with later updates of our sources; we do not store plain text for this. If you later want to be visible after all, write to us and we will lift the block.
